Shows
Each summer we host our major show of the year, usually coinciding with a holiday weekend. We notify our members of the timing, important dates and terms of entry by email well in advance. Once it is announced the entry form will appear below.
The Guild also arranges for an annual show in the ArtSpring lobby. In this event, paintings done under instruction, during life drawing sessions, and sketching and painting on location are welcome.
We also arrange for our members to display artwork in Lady Minto Hospital (semi-annual change-out) and the Country Grocer café (alternating months). Calls for expressions of interest will be sent to members by email.
Our show policy is here. Prepare your painting for hanging as shown below.

SALT SPRING ISLAND GUILDS SHOW, MAHON HALL
“FEAST YOUR EYES”
We will be sharing Mahon Hall with the Potters, Printmakers,
Woodworkers, Weavers and Spinners, and the Basketmakers. It
should be a lively show!
The Mahon Hall stage will have a ‘Showcase’ setup of dining tables
representing the ‘Feast your Eyes’ theme of ‘Food, Farming, and
Eating’. Pottery, wood turning, baskets and weaving will combine to
set the tables, and prints, weavings, and paintings on that theme will
be on the walls.
The pieces in the rest of the hall are not required to reflect that
theme. We do encourage our members to submit work that relates to
the theme of the show to demonstrate the abundance of natural
resources on SSI, while showcasing the talents of its many artists.
