The
pleasure of painting is in the doing and in the sharing! To that end I hold
nothing back in teaching, and will share with students a little of what has
been learned in my 30 plus years of painting and teaching. Shapes, values,
intensity, gradation, colour, use of transparents, acrylic techniques and much
more will be touched upon. As painting is visual, the importance of Demo’s is
utmost, and there will be as many demos as needed or wanted, starting with one
each day. It is very important that you observe the demos instead of taking
notes. Questions however are encouraged during demos, and a set of notes will
be given out at the workshop.
Students
will paint in the afternoon with my help and all levels of painters are
welcomed. Hopefully all students will go home with at least one or two
paintings completed.

Nancy has graciously
offered to start her workshop with a potluck supper on Friday evening as a
chance for her to meet everyone, and to give us all an opportunity to set up.
She plans to do an initial demo and then we can all be off to the races
Saturday morning! This is going to be a great workshop opportunity for anyone
working in acrylics.
